The 3D monitors enable true-to-life, crisp, 3D images.

The 3D displays are ideally suited for applications where outstanding visual experiences, faster information acquisition, optimal user-friendliness as well as comfortable and intuitive interaction are required -> Ideal for automotive applications, in medical technology or point of sale systems.

To obtain the 3D effect, optical filter elements are integrated into the TFT display or in front of it. The filters ensure that the image content shown on the display is perceived spatially by the viewers.

The filters consist of a thin carrier material (0.1 mm film or 0.1-3 mm thick glass) to which one or more optically effective layers are applied. The parameters of the optically effective layer(s) and the layer structure depend, among other things, on the underlying TFT and the desired properties of the 3D display, such as the number of views, the viewing distance and the degree of image separation.
